UNI. OF GHANA SUSPENDS LECTURES
University of Ghana, Legon has suspended lectures with immediate effect in the outbreak of coronavirus, 3news.com has gathered.
These were made known by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, in a live broadcast on Sunday, March 15.
This comes in the wake of the confirmation of a student as having tested positive for the coronavirus disease.
The student, one of six confirmed cases in Ghana, had visited the US but returned on Monday, March 9 and was confirmed positive on Friday, March 13.
“I will like to assure you that the university is safe,” Prof Oduro Owusu said.
Already, the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) has sent a message to all students notifying them of the decision by authorities to suspend lectures.
